The Tamarind dhow slips her

mooring at 6.30pm and  the magical

spell begins with a glass of our

classic sundowner cocktail “DAWA”.

Strains of soft music from our

Resident band assures our clients

of a four-hour cruise delight.

The Tamarind Dhow

Dinner Cruise

The Tamarind Dhow cruises leisurely past the Old Town, the Old Port to the illuminated Fort Jesus at which point we turn round away from the welcoming wide open waters and cruise back past the Tamarind and into the dark and serene waters of the Creek.

A quiet spot is reached at mid creek and everything is set for the meal to be served. Everything is prepared in front of you - a treat for the eye as well as the palate!

The band plays throughout the evening, later play local dance music for you to enjoy, as the Dhow gently cruises back to the jetty at 10.30pm.  The bright jetty lights bring the magical journey to an end - but the memory will always linger on.
